Honduran security forces clash with protesters demanding a full recount of last month's contentious election that pitched the Central American nation into crisis. In the capital, supporters of Alliance of Opposition to the Dictatorship set up rock barricades, set fire to tires and sticks in the roadways, and then moved to other locations to evade the police. Police and military officials put out the fires and moved the barricades so cars could pass, AFP journalists observed. Almost three weeks after the election, the Honduran Supreme Elections Tribunal (TSE) has not defined the winner, although the final results gave a slight advantage to President Juan Orlando Hernández of the right-wing National Party.
