The Faisaliya Tower was not affected by the lightning strike that hit it during a severe thunderstorm on Saturday in Riyadh, the management said.
The tower is equipped with lightning protection system that conducts electrical currents away from the tower and nearby structures, said the spokesman for the management in a statement carried by Alarabiya on Sunday.
The 44-floor building was struck by lightning during a thunderstorm that left the audience in awe when captured on video-camera and went viral on the Web.
