Now when corruption and selfishness has becoming part and parcel of our daily lives and the corrupt politicians are ruling, we have lost respect for politics and politicians in Pakistan. A veteran politician and the former Amir of Jamat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan Qazi Hussain Ahmed passed away in a local hospital, after some days of illness. Due to his transparent and honest political career Qazi Hussain Ahmed was respected and accepted in all political circles of Pakistan. The Prime Minister, President and heads of all political parties have shown their grief on his death and a large number of people also attended his funeral.
Qazi Hussain started his political career when he was very young, and later joined JI. During his political career he always enjoyed a position in Jamat-e-Islami. Qazi Hussain was elected four times as the Amir of Pakistan’s largest religious and political party Jamat-e-Islami. He was also chairman of MMA a religious alliance consisted of all religious parties in Pakistan. Despite his high ranking positions he had a very simple life style and enjoyed no luxuries and always set a great example of honesty in politics. Qazi Hussein Ahmed’s clean political career is an example for the present political leaders.
