Pervez Musharraf is remanded in judicial custody

Pakistan’s former military ruler Pervez Musharraf is remanded in judicial custody for two weeks over a crackdown on the judiciary during his time in office. He is also accused of conspiracy to murder opposition leader Benazir Bhutto in 2007 and of treason for his decision to suspend the constitution and impose emergency rule. He’s the first army chief to be put in prison.
